Collection: Roosevelt Dimes

The Roosevelt Dime is a ten-cent coin that was first minted in 1946 to honor the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt.  The coin was introduced following Roosevelt's death in 1945 and replaced the Mercury Dime.  The Roosevelt Dime was designed by sculptor John R. Sinnock and features a portrait of Roosevelt on the Obverse Side.  The Reverse Side depicts a torch, an olive branch, and an oak branch, symbolizing liberty, peace, and strength.  Over the years, the composition of the coin has changed, with the original silver version being minted until 1964.  Since then, the dime has been made of a cooper-nickel alloy.  The Roosevelt Dime remains in circulation today and is a popular coin among collectors
